The Modern Way to Buy Antique Art
I became interested in fine art in my teens, and was collecting (when I had any extra money) by my twenties.
For most of my life as a collector, I was constrained by budget (as all but a lucky few are), so early on I began learning where to find great art that was overlooked, underpriced or wrongly identified. To this day I scour a myriad of sources in search of great values I can pass on to my discerning clients, who count on me to contact them when I turn up new things. New inventory comes and goes quickly, so be sure to sign up for new art alerts.
For eight years, I owned an art gallery on famous Magazine Street in New Orleans. In early 2018, I closed the gallery in order to take the business completely online, dramatically reducing my overhead and allowing me to price paintings at around half of what most antique stored and galleries charge.
I offer a 125%, no-questions-asked guarantee on every purchase from European Art Underground. Long-term relationships with collectors are more important to me than quick profits. I love what I do, and the personal interactions are my favorite part of the business.
I still maintain a salon room in New Orleans where a wealth of antique European art can be seen at any given time, and I invite you to visit when in the city. I enjoy meeting art lovers in person, from raw beginners to seasoned collectors. Contact me for more information about salon visits.
